Minister of Health: UAE Flag will remain Flying as High as ever Reflecting the Country's Sovereignty and Unity
November 02, 2021: Abdulrahman bin Mohammad Al Owais, Minister of Health and Prevention said that celebrating the UAE Flag Day provides an opportunity for the UAE people to renew their steadfast loyalty and demonstrate their belonging to the country.
Speaking on the occasion of Flag Day, Al Owais stressed that the country’s flag will remain flying as high as ever, reflecting the UAE’s sovereignty and unity wherever it is seen.
“This year’s occasion is a bit different. It comes at a time when the UAE is marking its golden jubilee after announcing the Principle of the 50, which carries the country’s ambitions and vision to enhance its global reputation and support its march of excellence over the next 50 years. It is also special as it marks the accession anniversary of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan” the minister said.
“Our flag narrates a story of pride and allegiance, a story of a nation built by our founding fathers, thanks to whom our country has become a role model in turning challenges into opportunities, making the future and redefining the concept of success, seeking nothing but excellence. This would not have been possible had it not been for the support and directives of our wise leadership and the loyalty of its people who always demonstrate the strength and solidity of the UAE union and the cohesion of the entire society. The UAE flag will forever stand as a witness to the country's achievements in global competitiveness arenas,” Al Owais added.
Concluding his statement, the minister stated that celebrating Flag Day shows how much the UAE people respect their national symbol, and at the same time, reflects its sanctity thanks to being the icon that unites the country’s national principles, cultural heritage and aspiration for building a better future. And we are not exaggerating if we said that the UEA flag has become an indication of global leadership, excellence and humanity,” the minister said.
