August 19, 2021:  UAE Team Emirates’ Alexander Kristoff has his sights set on another victory at this year’s Tour of Norway (19th – 22nd August), after winning a stage as well as both the green points jersey and the yellow general classification jersey at the last edition of his ‘home race’ in 2019. The Norwegian sprinter will be accompanied by two of his fellow countrymen in the form of Vegard Stake-Laengen and Sven Erik Bystrom, along with Aleksandr Riabushenko and new recruits Finn Fisher-Black and Felix Gross who will race in Emirati colours for the first time this week. 

 

Kristoff said: “The Tour of Norway is always a special race for me. It’s based around my home region in Stavanger so my family can come and watch me race which is always nice. We have a young team with some of our new guys, so we’re excited to see what they can do. Last time we had this race in 2019 I managed to win it, so I’ll hope for another good performance this year also.' 

 

The six-man squad will be guided by Italian Sports Director Fabio Baldato.
