- Abu Dhabi Airports’ Ground Handling service provider, Munawala, awarded IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO) Registration
- Registration is a reflection of Munawala’s exceptional safety and security performance across Al Ain International Airport

Abu Dhabi, UAE – 16 June 2021: The International Air Transport Association (IATA) has awarded Munawala Ground Services (Munawala), Abu Dhabi Airports’ Ground Handling service provider, the IATA Safety Audit for Ground Operations (ISAGO) Registration, marking its commitment to safety and security.
The award follows the successful completion of a comprehensive audit of Munawala’s management and safety systems at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi, as well as its ground-handling operations at Al Ain International Airport (AAN).

Commenting on the achievement, Yousif Al Hammadi, General Manager at Munawala Ground Services, said: “We are delighted to be awarded IATA’s ISAGO Registration for our work at Al Ain International Airport. Munawala is dedicated to delivering world-class safety performance, and consistently invests in training and new technology to ensure the highest standards across its operations.”

“The achievement of this prestigious industry certification is a testament to our commitment to the highest levels of safety and security across our operations at Al Ain International,” added Mr. Al Hammadi.

ISAGO is an industry global standard for the oversight and audit of ground service providers. It is complementary to the internationally recognized and accepted IATA Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) designed to assess the operational management and control systems of an air operator. The implementation of ISAGO aims to address the safety risks and incident costs of ground operations.

Munawala is committed to excellence and the provision of world-class services across its airports and facilities through the implementation of international best practices and effective management and safety systems.
