Event falls in line with aim of National Happiness Agenda to make UAE the happiest country in world

UAE, 10 November 2019 – The Dubai Government Workshop (DGW), in collaboration with the Grand Hyatt Group and other private sector institutions, has organized a ‘Happiness Carnival,’ which features interactive shows, fun activities, and lucky draws that have been designed to promote positivity and happiness across all of its employees.

H.E. Fahad Ahmed Al Raeesi, Deputy CEO, DGW, shared that the ‘Happiness Carnival’ demonstrates DGW’s commitment to country’s National Happiness Agenda, which aims to build a happy local society. The move also reaffirms DGW’s commitment in creating a positive work environment that can help bolster productivity and contribute to the happiness of its employees, who are considered critical in improving and enhancing government performance and meeting customer needs.

Al Raeesi added: “The ‘Happiness Carnival,’ which is being organized in cooperation with our strategic partners, will help strengthen the collaboration between the public and private sectors, especially in the move to achieve the ultimate aim of making people happy and promoting their wellbeing—top priorities placed by the UAE. All of the events being featured at the carnival are aligned with the goals of the National Happiness and Positivity Charter, which seeks to make the UAE a centre and global destination for happiness.”

He added: “We reaffirm our commitment to empower our workforce by enabling their personal and professional development, which will lead to their happiness. We will take all the necessary means to heed the directives of our wise leadership to create the world’s happiest work environment in the government sector.”

DGW’s ‘Happiness Carnival’ this year will also include the unveiling of numerous offerings for DGW employees, which are being provided by participating partners from the private sector.  These include special discounts, lucky draws, and valuable rewards. Apart from various shows, the carnival will also honor DGW employees for their achievements.  Several local banks, private clinics, and fashion, perfume, and electronic outlets will participate in the event.
