The Grand Finale of the ‘UAE’s Best Homemade Cake Contest 2019’ will be staged on October 4 in Dubai 

Dubai, United Arab Emirates -  September 16, 2019:   For many passionate bakers, life is what they bake of it. If you are a talented cake artist and decorator, this is your time to shine, to showcase your skills and wow the world with your creativity at the “UAE’s Best Homemade Cake Contest 2019”! From chocolate cakes to lemon cakes, from tiered cakes to sculpted cakes; make your masterpiece cake and win cash prize up to Dhs 30,000. 

The “UAE’s Best Homemade Cake Contest 2019” is open to anyone, who doesn’t own a baking business and is above 15 years of age. Top three winners of the competition will walk away with a cash prize of up to Dhs 30,000. Winners in the first, second and third places of the Grand Finale will be awarded Dhs 15,000, Dhs 10,000 and Dhs 5,000 cash prizes respectively. 

Commenting on the initiative, Mr. Faizal Abdul Karim, CEO of WOSA which conducts the competition, said, “We are happy to announce the contest involving families and residents. Through this competition, we intend to find exceptional but unidentified bakers from all over the UAE and give them a platform through which they can showcase their ability. The competition is comprised of two rounds of activities.”

“The first phase, which is the Submission Round, will be held on September 28, 2019. During this round, participants are required to bring baked and decorated cakes to the venue Indian Academy School in Muhaisina-4, Dubai. A panel of professional judges will evaluate the entries on creativity, texture, flavor and presentation. Top 20 contestants from this round will be invited to participate in the second round, the Grand Finale,” he added. 

“We have also created a ‘Wild Card Entry’ for those who didn’t enter to the final round; in which images of the entire submissions, except the winning 20, will be posted on the contest’s Facebook page. The contestants will have the liberty to make the uploaded images of their cakes get maximum number of likes. The participant with the highest number of likes will have the opportunity to participate in the Grand Finale on October 4, 2019,” Mr. Faizal elaborated. 

Interested residents can participate in the contest by registering at www.uaesbest.com by paying a fee of AED 250 per entry. The deadline to submit entries is 12.00 midnight, September 26, 2019. Upon registration, the participants will receive dockets with required details and documents for participating in the competition. The participants can try a variety of cakes in different flavours including chocolate, lemon; and models life tiered cakes and sculpted cakes.
