This summer, Majid Al Futtaim malls across Dubai are helping to make back-to-school shopping a more rewarding experience

Dubai, UAE, 26 August 2019:  With a new school year fast approaching, parents are on a mission to kit out their kids with everything they need to stride into the classroom with confidence and make the best possible start to the new term. To make the big back-to-school shop that bit more rewarding, Majid Al Futtaim malls across Dubai have launched a host of generous promotions, ready to take advantage of today.

Shop, win, and save BIG

Before they’ve even stepped foot inside Mall of the Emirates, shoppers can land the ultimate Mall of the Emirates experience package that won’t fail to keep the family satisfied this summer. The package includes: one Lego gift card, one American Girl gift card, one Carrefour gift card, and two VOX Cinemas tickets. Even better news - entering the competition is easy and fun. Shoppers can simply tap onto the mall’s Instagram page (@malloftheemirates) and complete the crossword game. The competition closes on September 7.

Meanwhile, over at City Centre Mirdif, parents have a great chance to win back their kid’s tuition fees when they spend AED 300 or more, until September 7. What’s more, kids can add a touch of creativity to their new school gear over at the Customisation Station, located at the mall’s Central Galleria.
City Centre Deira is running its own generous spend and win promotion, with parents getting the chance to win back their kid’s tuition fees when they spend AED 200 or more. That shouldn’t be too difficult, with the mall being home to a wide variety of retailers offering a great selection of back-to-school kit at the best prices. There’s Clarks for those must-have shoes, Kipling and Jashanmal for a swanky new backpack, and Virgin Megastore for all those stationery essentials.

Free meals, happy little faces

Adding to the promotional offers at Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Mirdif, and City Centre Deira is a deal that’s good for the pocket and fighting any hunger pangs. With every main course purchased, parents get a kid’s meal for free.
At Mall of the Emirates, the offer applies to Eat Greek, Tribes, Zaatar w Zeit, Texas de Brazil, L’ETO, Azkadenia, California Pizza Kitchen, and 800 Degrees Neapolitan Pizzeria. At City Centre Mirdif, parents can avail the offer at La Brioche, Logma, Nando’s, Carluccio’s, Ocean Basket, and CafĂ© Nero. Meanwhile, those visiting City Centre Deira can grab the deal at Denny’s, Nando’s, and Coffee Club.

An effortless shopping experiences

Alongside the many generous savings, Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Mirdif, and City Centre Deira have made the shopping experience effortless with the launch of online back-to-school shopping catalogues. Now, parents can head to each mall’s website, easily browse product shots and prices from a number of leading retailers, and then go in-store to purchase.

At Mall of the Emirates, shoppers can view product catalogues from Marks & Spencer, Babyshop, Ecco, Borders, Paperchase, Cath Kidston, Okaidi-Obaibi, Pablosky, Shoemart, Aldo Accessories, Carrefour, and Athlete’s Co. At City Centre Mirdif, the catalogues cover Jashanmal, Kiabi, Lifestyle, Zippy, Carrefour, Ecco, while City Centre Deira has catalogues from H&M, Carter’s, and Bath and Body Works.

Win cash while the kids learn

City Centre Me’aisem has something for both parents and kids this back to school season. Until September 7, in collaboration with Dubai Shopping Malls Group (DSMG), shoppers have the chance to win one of 25 cash prizes worth AED 250,000 when they spend AED 200 in retail and dining outlets. Meanwhile, to get a head start over their peers, kids can jump into an exciting learning journey without even leaving the mall. As part of a school bus activation, they can climb inside a custom-built school bus and enjoy a daily programme of interactive educational workshops covering science, arts and crafts, music, robotics, plantation, and cooking.

Spin and win with Matajer Malls

Until September 3, Matajer Malls’ locations of Matajer Al Juraina, Matajer Al Mirgab, Matajer Al Khan, and Matajer Al Quoz are adding a touch more excitement to the mall experience with a ‘spin and win’ competition. Shoppers are encouraged to step up and spin the wheel to be a lucky winner of the daily draw. Up for grabs is an abundance of amazing prizes including mall gift cards, Carrefour gift cards, TVs, mobile phones, Air Arabia tickets, gold coins, and laptops. All they need to do to get the chance to spin is spend AED 100 or more.
But that’s not all, as there’s something a little extra over at Matajer Al Juraina. Until September 3, when diners spend to the value of AED 100 or more at any of the mall’s F&B outlets, they’ll receive instant scratch cards to win tickets to Ski Dubai, Magic Planet, or VOX Cinemas.

Set the inner artist free

Until August 31 at My City Centre Masdar, shoppers can bring out the inner artist in their children and themselves at the mall’s dedicated Art Lab by taking part in a programme of arts and crafts lessons designed for the entire family. The programme offers a variety of hands-on workshops covering solar light making, jar making, button art, tape art, stone art, miniature painting, slime making, and sand art.
