Dubai, UAE, March 14, 2016:  Two weeks after a publicly released preview of its forthcoming campaign re-embedded the house's direction in the culture of the moment, LOEWE presents its latest women's collection.With an emphasis on development, Spring Summer 2016 continues to establish the codes that define the LOEWE woman today. Foundational elements laid out in previous seasons are freely and confidently synthesised, while new techniques and materials add to the expanding vocabulary of the brand. An essential organic character is shot through with bolts of current energy, manifest in a rubber iteration of the popular Puzzle bag, in the extraordinary movement of a chain bracelet, or in heat-sealed pieces that provide a sense of clarity, sharpness and innovation. A concise yet highly articulated collection in which tension pervades, as hard meets soft, synthetics confront rawness, normalcy becomes extraordinary, and fluid happenings break the classic efficiency of a total look. Head-to-toe suede encapsulates the house's core expertise, while LOEWE’s signature material finds a novel functionality applied in precise strips, a method also used for the versatile new calf Strip bag in calf.The straightforward silhouette shifts attention to material experimentation, with a focus on transparency and textural variety. Advanced techniques yield unexpected fabrics, at times deliberately crinkled, at times exuding a tar-like black sheen or a graded violet iridescence. Metal hardware is used as a graphic element while shattered mirror elements reflect their environment as well as a multi-faceted reality.  Black napa is made to look like silver crocodile while actual crocodile makes its ready-to-wear debut in a pair of luxuriously soft trousers. Paper  --featuring a black-and-white print based on a hi-definition botanical photograph by Karl Blossfeldt-- is superimposed onto cotton. A columnar sleeveless dress made from caramel napa is stamped with the imprint of a real Juncus plant, encapsulating the fusion of the technological and the biological that's at the core of the collection.

In addition to introducing several new options for the Puzzle, the show also marks the launch of the new Small Puzzle, instantly available in calf plane in six colours the day of the show, at LOEWE.com and in selected LOEWE stores worldwide. A reinterpretation of the Barcelona bag --now quilted inside and out-- will soon be available in black, aqua, red and yellow. Archival elements, including a futuristic house logo and a Canadian goose that originated as a vintage silk motif and has been adapted as a brooch, accentuate and complete the collection. #LOEWESS16
