Microsoft takes lead as sole technology sponsor for the Dubai International Project Management Forum (DIPMF)

19 November, 2015. Dubai, United Arab Emirates. In its efforts to support the UAE vision 2021 and in line with UAE innovation week, Microsoft Gulf has stepped up as the sole technology sponsor of the Dubai International Project Management Forum (DIPMF) held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of Dubai Executive Council, taking place at the Madinat Jumeirah on 22-24 November 2015. The forum will demonstrate how smart, sustainable and innovative project management practices are executed to ensure successful outcomes.

Microsoft and its partners will be running two key workshops during the forum, that include Microsoft Project Portfolio Management (PPM) in Office 365 Roadmap, which will focus on enabling organizations to prioritize project portfolio investments, and deliver the intended business value from virtually anywhere on nearly any device.  it will be presenting the long term vision of Microsoft’s PPM solution in Office 365 for a mobile-first, cloud-first world.  The second workshop will dive into Demystifying Project Portfolio Success with Microsoft Project Online, which will demonstrate various features and capabilities of Microsoft stack of Project Portfolio Management solutions and walkthrough live demonstration on how NDS’s Industry and vertical focused solution on Project Online and Project Server can help organizations achieve success for their projects.

The DIPMF organized by Roads & Transport Authority (RTA) in cooperation with Dubai Electricity & Water Authority (DEWA), Emaar Properties, and Project Management Institute (PMI), is expected to be the only leading project management forum in the Gulf that will attract over 2,000 CEOs and Project Managers. Key themes that will be covered in the field include innovative project management, project management maturity, collaboration tools to optimize project management, leadership in managing projects, the role of project management in customer service, and best practices and approaches used in executing UAE’s mega projects.
