NAPCO CEO receives AIWA's award for ‘Most Outstanding Corporate Leader'
June 24, 2015 - National Aluminium Products Company SAOG (NAPCO), one of the leading extruders of aluminium profiles in the GCC, has announced that its CEO, Robert Holtkamp, has received the award for ‘Most Outstanding Corporate Leader’ from Alam al-Iktisaad Wal A’mal (AIWA), Oman’s leading Arabic business magazine published by United Media Services. The 5th edition of the award ceremony was held recently at Shangri-La’s Barr Al Jissah Resort & Spa to recognize the top achievers in Oman’s corporate world. Holtkamp was recognized for displaying exceptional foresight in spearheading his company’s growth and expansion in just a short span of time.
Under Holtkamp’ leadership, NAPCO registered a 4 per cent increase in revenues in 2014 to OMR 19,407.00 over previous year sales - –despite taking charge in the second quarter, which is a tremendous achievement. Moreover, all production divisions, including extrusion, powder coating, anodizing, wood finish, and dispatch saw a boost in output. The powder coating facility produced 605 metric tonnes in December 2014, the highest in the company’s history. In 2015, the company increased capacity by 45 to 50 per cent from the existing capacity of the plant. Additionally, it looks forward to expanding its land space to 60,000 sqm from the existing 45,000 sqm to accommodate four extrusion presses, vertical and horizontal powder coating lines, one anodizing line, two wood-finish lines, a thermal crimping facility, and a bending facility by the end of 2015.
Holtkamp said: “It is a great honor to receive the award for ‘Most Outstanding Corporate Leader’ from the prestigious business magazine AIWA. To see NAPCO treading on the path I had envisioned for it almost a year back makes the award more special and I am confident that it will continue to achieve all the milestones on its road to enduring success. I would like to thank the employees of NAPCO, who, through their hard work, sincerity and dedication, have made it easier to attain our goals. I would like to thank the Board of Directors for their trust in supporting my strategic decisions. Rest assured, we will continue to work hard to position NAPCO within top 5 aluminium extruders in terms of capacity within the GCC.”
Holtkamp has been instrumental in the recruitment and training of Omani employees to attain high levels of Omanization at all levels of the company hierarchy. He is also behind the launch of many corporate social leading responsibility (CSR) programs in the fields of education, health and human services, and the environment.
Established in 1984, NAPCO has positioned itself as a reliable source of high quality-extrusions from the Gulf to the world markets by conforming to international standards.
