New Fujitsu SP Series scanner range
Dubai, June 09, 2015 – With the introduction of the Fujitsu SP-1120, SP-1125 and SP-1130 Fujitsu subsidiary PFU (EMEA) Ltd. establishes a new product range of document scanners complementing the existing fi Series and ScanSnap product lines. Designed to capture 20, 25 or 30 pages per minute (A4 colour, duplex 200/300dpi), the new SP Series models are intended as solutions for companies seeking to raise their productivity. The SP Series helps to support a dedicated, single business function such as scanning to an archive or in a small mailroom. All SP Series models come with the PaperStream IP driver and image enhancement software to ensure high capture quality.
'There is growing demand for capture solutions capable of scanning rates between 20 and 30 pages per minute,' said Mike Nelson, Vice President at Fujitsu subsidiary PFU (EMEA) Ltd. 'Our new SP Series models are designed to answer this need to offer capturing solutions backed by the high quality many have come to expect from a Fujitsu document scanner while helping to lower process costs.'
'Wherever there are business needs that demand a dedicated document capture solution in the 20 to 30 page per minute segment for a single application, an SP Series model is the budget scanner of choice,' said Klaus Schulz, Manager Product Marketing EMEA at PFU (EMEA) Ltd.
PaperStream IP software for efficiency gains
Fujitsu PaperStream IP software automatically creates the most suitable image data for hassle-free scanning. The PaperStream IP driver, which supports TWAIN/ISIS, automatically detects document size, simplex/duplex and rotation and converts the scans into exceptionally clean images, accelerating OCR (Optical Character Recognition), even when scanning watermarked, wrinkled or soiled documents. The software bundle also includes ABBYY FineReader Sprint to help generate searchable files and Presto! PageManager for managing and editing documents.
Compact design, easy to use
Their compact format makes the SP Series models ideal for use at a desk or in a reception area. They offer a simple operation panel with only two buttons (Scan/Stop and Power), making them easy-to-use and reducing the chance of human error. The scanners are equipped with a brake roller to accurately separate each page and an ultrasonic sensor to prevent paper miss-feeds. Additional features include a straight paper path so that users can scan laminated cards, duplex scanning for front and back simultaneous scanning and an automatic document feeder (ADF) that holds up to 50 sheets.
The Fujitsu SP-1120/, SP-1125 and SP-1130 models will be available at Fujitsu sales partners starting June 2015. The recommended retail price is 289 £ (379 €, 489 $) plus VAT for the SP-1120, 329 £ (429 €, 549 $) plus VAT for the SP-1125 and 424 £ (549 €, 699 $) plus VAT for the SP-1130.
