Dubai. Roads and Transport Authority. 2 October 2026:

His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer, Director General, Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors, Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), inaugurated the Institutional Readiness & Development Centre during Corporate Transformation Week 2026, organised by RTA over four days. The week aimed to embed a culture of change and corporate development, build capabilities, strengthen future readiness, and support RTA’s adoption of more agile operating models and ways of working that can keep pace with rapid change.

Corporate Transformation Week forms part of RTA’s drive to embed corporate transformation as an integrated framework encompassing corporate agility, change management and capability building. It helps translate strategic priorities into practice, empowers leaders and employees to drive change and contribute actively to workplace development, and supports sustained performance and corporate excellence.

Corporate Transformation

During his tour of the Centre, Al Tayer reviewed its vision, objectives, key enablers, transformation initiatives and strategic projects. He also inaugurated the Corporate Agility Lab, an interactive environment designed to develop ideas and practices and foster greater flexibility in ways of working. He was also briefed on key examples of successful change and RTA’s change management practices showcased at the Change Management Exhibition.

Al Tayer signed the Corporate Transformation Excellence Charter, reflecting the leadership’s commitment to advancing the transformation journey, strengthening future readiness, and fostering shared responsibility among leaders and employees for achieving transformation objectives, improving ways of working, and embedding a culture of change and continuous improvement.

He also met with employees involved in the change management project and the implementation of the Corporate Agility Roadmap, recognising their contributions to the success of development initiatives and their role in advancing RTA’s transformation journey and reinforcing its culture of agility and change management.

Strengthening Future Readiness

His Excellency Mattar Al Tayer said: “Sustaining development and strengthening future readiness require a flexible organisation capable of anticipating change and responding to it effectively. This calls for continuous investment in human capabilities and a culture in which change, learning and development are integral to the workplace, enabling strategies and priorities to be translated into tangible and sustainable outcomes.”

He added: “The Centre serves as a platform to support RTA’s development journey by enabling leaders and employees to adopt new ways of working, exchange knowledge and expertise, and draw on global best practices. This strengthens RTA’s future readiness and its ability to continue developing and innovating while achieving its strategic objectives.”

Four Days of Activities

Held over four days under the theme “A Renewed Corporate Culture: Driving Future-Ready Mobility through Agility and Corporate Transformation,” Corporate Transformation Week delivered an integrated programme of knowledge-sharing and interactive activities, featuring leading global experts.

The programme comprised 10 seminars, two panel discussions and four specialist training workshops, bringing together local, regional and international experts and specialists and attracting around 480 participants. The sessions explored the future of corporate transformation and the latest practices in organisational flexibility, governance, process excellence and change management, alongside the tools and capabilities that enable RTA to adapt rapidly and deliver sustainable value.

Global Expertise

The week brought together local, regional and international experts in corporate transformation, agility, excellence and process management from leading global organisations, including the Business Agility Institute (BAI), X2A, and APQC (American Productivity & Quality Center).

Keynote addresses, panel discussions and specialist lectures focused on translating global knowledge and expertise into workplace practice. They showcased successful approaches to leading large-scale corporate transformations, building high-performance cultures, developing operating models, strengthening strategic and technological alignment and organisational capabilities, and embedding continuous improvement and change management methodologies.

Capability Building

Capability building formed a central pillar of the week’s programme. Specialist lectures focused on equipping leaders and employees with up-to-date knowledge, tools and methodologies in corporate transformation, strengthening their ability to adopt new ways of working, and translating contemporary concepts and practices into practical applications that improve performance.

The week also provided a platform for employees, experts and specialists to exchange knowledge and expertise, while encouraging active participation in the development journey and linking corporate transformation and agility concepts to practical application, thereby supporting a more flexible and future-ready work environment.

Strategic Partnership

RTA signed a strategic partnership agreement with the Business Agility Institute (BAI) to establish the Institute’s first global Agility Centre of Excellence (ACE). Operating as part of an expanding corporate ecosystem, the ACE will translate global best practices into a standardised, self-sustaining operational framework. This strategic initiative represents a leading international benchmark for corporate agility in government entities.

The agreement was signed on behalf of RTA by Moaza Saeed Al Marri, CEO of Executive Affairs Sector, and on behalf of the Institute by Dr Ahmed Sidky, CEO of the Business Agility Institute (BAI) and X2A.

Under the agreement, BAI will deliver specialist executive seminars and in-person workshops designed to empower leaders and strengthen governance. It will also collaborate with APQC (American Productivity & Quality Center) to develop the operating model for the Institutional Readiness and Development Centre, embed best practices, and deliver targeted training programmes supported by globally recognised ICAgile certifications.

To build sustainable capabilities and strengthen in-house expertise, BAI will train and certify internal trainers in Agile methodologies through hands-on coaching and practical guidance. This approach will ensure in-depth knowledge transfer, develop skills tailored to RTA’s needs, and empower employees to lead transformation from within RTA.

Integrated and Sustainable Framework

Corporate Transformation Week reflects RTA’s drive to move corporate development from standalone initiatives towards an integrated and sustainable framework that brings together capability development, change management and corporate agility while drawing on global expertise and best practices. This strengthens RTA’s future readiness and supports its ability to sustain excellence and leadership while achieving its objectives.
