Dubai-UAE: 8 March, 2014 - Noor Bank, a leading UAE Islamic bank, today announced its Head of Compliance, Prashant Anand has been honoured with the ‘Chief Compliance Officer 2013’ distinction at the Thomson Reuters Governance, Risk and Compliance Awards.
The awards ceremony that was held on the sidelines of the eighth Annual GCC Regulators Summit at Atlantis – The Palm was designed to recognise the achievements of compliance professionals from across the financial services industry and supporting professional services firms. The judging panel comprised an independent group of industry experts. The winners were chosen following a stringent evaluation process.

In 2013, Noor Bank bagged several awards including the ‘Islamic Finance Bank of the Year Award’ at the Trade and Export Middle East Awards, Banker ME ‘Best Corporate Account Award’, which recognises Noor’s High Yielding Savings account for its flexibility in managing short term liquidity and enhancing the working capital yields for customers, Citibank Straight Through Processing Excellence Award for outstanding service related to customers’ international electronic payment transfers, and the ‘Most Improved Branches for 2013’ award at the Bank Benchmarking Index (BBI) Awards, held as part of the fourth UAE Customer Service Week.
