Company receives notable recognition for 5th consecutive year by Interbrand
AXA Group, the worldwide leader in insurance and asset management, has announced that it has been named as the first insurance brand worldwide by Interbrand ranking. The recognition, won by AXA for the fifth consecutive year, reinforces the company's leadership in the insurance sector across the globe.
As per the ranking, AXA is the 59th Best Global Brand and the 5th best French brand across all industries. The brand value for AXA has surged by 5% to US$ 7.096 billion, according to the ranking. AXA operates as AXA Gulf in the region and AXA Cooperative in Saudi Arabia, and is one of the largest and leading non-life international insurers in the Middle East.
AXA's brand valuation and its leading position notably reflect its employees' brand engagement, the ranking says, complimenting its growing digital acumen and presence that contribute to an improved customer experience. Corporate Citizenship, and in particular employee social responsibility, is also highlighted as a strength for the brand.
The Best Global Brands ranking calculates the value of a brand based on three criteria – its financial performance, the strength of the brand and its role in purchase of products and services.
“It is great achievement to be once again amongst the top global brands. I believe this result is a strong reflection of the strength of our business, the relevance for our clients of our brand strategy but also our efforts to accelerate our digital initiatives. This important recognition reinforces the AXA brand, a key asset with regards to client and talent attraction & retention as well as product & service distribution,” said Véronique Weill, Chief Operating Officer of the AXA Group
“The success of any insurance business is notably based on its reputation, be it in terms of quality of client service, availability or reliability. AXA's brand identity is built on these demonstrated foundations, but is also driven by our ultimate purpose which is to protect people,” added Véronique Weill.
Jérôme Droesch, CEO of AXA Gulf, said: “It is a matter of great privilege to be named the 1st insurance brand in the world for the fifth consecutive year. This recognition confirms that we are on the right track to becoming the preferred company and that our efforts to provide customers with products and services that meet their needs and expectations have paid off.”
“The honour goes out to all AXA colleagues worldwide for their efforts and dedication, and their high standards of service and professionalism. Now we have to double our efforts and keep our focus on service excellence to maintain this achievement,” he added.
According to a recent survey, 75 per cent of AXA employees are engaged, demonstrating a strong focus on internal brand engagement. This has had an external impact on the brand's perception and business success, with sales up four per cent across all business units.
AXA is also one of the 50 Best Global Green Brands, a ranking published by Interbrand in June 2013 that recognizes consumer perception of a company's green initiatives and environmental performance. The Best Global Green Brands ranking gathers the 50 best performers in the arena of sustainability and how their environmentally conscious efforts are perceived by the public.
As one of the leading names in the regional insurance sector, AXA products are tailored across all sections – corporates, SMEs, individuals and families. AXA Cooperative, supported by AXA Group, aims to enhance its footprint and increase customer service levels within KSA.
