Dubai, United Arab Emirates – 1 April 2015 – As sustainability initiatives gain a foothold worldwide, both companies and employees are looking for ways to make an impact, and reducing print waste is an important area to focus efforts. The new Xerox (NYSE: XRX) Print Awareness Tool will help enterprises reduce their carbon footprint and encourage workers to be more environmentally responsible. Created by Xerox’s Research Centre Europe, the tool uses gamification technology and provides real-time print metrics and tips on how to change behaviors. Employees can voluntarily track how their efforts support company-wide print reduction and print smarter goals. An easy-to-use interactive desktop software widget monitors and analyzes print history and wasteful habits. Fun factors, including peer competition and incentives, can also be used to encourage participation. “Printing less isn’t just about using less paper – it’s about working smarter, improving productivity, connecting with clients faster and using data to bolster business,” said Mike Feldman, president, Large Enterprise Operations, Xerox. “At first thought, we may be an unlikely source to say ‘print less’, but we bridge the digital and paper worlds to help enterprises better understand, protect and use information more intelligently.” Xerox, the company that transformed the workplace by creating an easier way to duplicate information on paper continues to find ways to help enterprises move closer to a more digital, paper-less work environment. Xerox Print Awareness tool is part of Xerox’s three-phased approach to MPS – assess and optimize, secure and integrate, and automate and simplify.
Availability The Print Awareness tool has not yet been launched in the region.
