735 workers from various UAE labour camps to get free medical check-ups in the first phase Dubai, November 4th, 2014: Dulsco, a regional leader in human resource solutions and waste management services, in association with Groupon presented free health check-up vouchers to workers at the Al Banna Engineering Company. This was part of the ‘Gift a free medical check-up for a worker’ campaign launched by both the companies in August this year. In the first phase, 735 workers from various labour camps, mostly around Al Quoz, will benefit from this campaign. They will be given vouchers for free medical check-up that can be redeemed at the Dulsco Medical Clinic in Al Quoz. “As part of this campaign, workers can consult with a practitioner about their medical issues and receive valuable advice with regard to their health. The medical check-ups include physician consultation, height, weight and body mass index (BMI) check, blood sugar and blood pressure monitoring. In addition, workers will receive advice on diet and nutrition as well as oral hygiene. Information on handling and preventing heat strokes and other important health tips that can be practiced in their daily routine will also be provided,” said Mubarak Kozhikkal, Head of Dulsco Medical Services. To ensure workers take appropriate health measures, especially during summer, Dulsco and Groupon had joined forces to set up this unique initiative. Groupon users supported the cause by clicking the ‘Support’ button located on the exclusive page created for the campaign. For every 10 unique ‘Support’ clicks that the Groupon page received, Dulsco gifted a free medical check-up coupon to a worker. The online campaign received overwhelming response with 7359 unique clicks.
