ERECA will present its systems for signal transmission at CABSAT 2014 in Dubai

ERECA produces systems for signal transmission over optical fiber. From 1992 ERECA offers a digital product range to transmit multiple signals by TDM multiplexing for CCTV and Broadcast. ERECA will present the new NET-RACER product line at CABSAT 2014 in Dubai, from March 12 to 14, on the French Pavilion.

ERECA is pleased to introduce the new NET-RACER product line with unprecedented features combined in a unique mainframe such as:
• Remote camera transmission and powering (unprecedented feature),
• Steady camera transmission and powering (unprecedented feature),
• Receiver for remote stage-box (unprecedented feature),
• Multiplexed HD SDI bus or ring optical transmission,
• HD SDI, 3G, 4K video signals transmission,
• Ethernet, audio and GPIO transmission.

The NET RACER platform concentrates the transmission solutions of ERECA products for Broadcast
applications. The NET RACER is a 3U rack with 16 slots for transmission ranging from single HD transmission boards to high data rate multi-signals multiplexing and routing to create network solution.
Integrated high power supplies extend application usage, like remote powering of devices through Hybrid SMPTE cable.

The basic rack comprises:
• 2 slots for redundant power supply module. Each PSU has 350 W power source capacity.
• 1 management and supervising module with “http” and “snmp” protocol.
• 1 cooling unit (integrated with management module).
• 16 “user” slots for transmission solutions of ERECA.

The rack offers a dual flow cooling for harsh environments. The management module offers transmission board’s consultation/setup through simple web browser. For compact or mobile applications, the NET RACER COMPACT standalone chassis holds up to 2 transmission boards. It integrates a high capacity power supply and cooling.

ERECA develops also new field solutions for Broadcast camera transmission over optical fiber with the SToRA (Strong Racer) series, which offer the signal transmission in a ruggedized box, over hybrid cable or only on optical cable, for HD cameras, 3D cameras, and slow motion cameras.

The equipment assumes transmission of a comprehensive set of signals as follows:
• 2 HD signals (live image),
• 2 HD return path signals (view finder),
• 1 Genlock (PAL image / Black burst / Tri-level),
• 8 analog audio for intercom or broadcasting,
• 1 Ethernet 10/100Mbs,
• 2 Data RS 232/422/485,
• 2 Contact closure.

The transmission board and its power supply are integrated in a compact die cast aluminum box. The enclosure ensures excellent shock/drop protection along with dust and water resistant capacity. Internal cooling management offers very good thermal performance.

All the signals are transmitted on 2 single mode fibers. The Camera module can be remote powered through Hybrid cable by the CCU module.
