SalamAir, Oman's low-cost carrier, has announced its On-Time Performance (OTP) results for the third quarter of 2026, recording an OTP of 76%, and continuing its commitment to transparent reporting and operational accountability.

OTP is an internationally recognised measure of punctuality, calculated as the percentage of flights departing within 15 minutes of their scheduled departure time.

Between July and September 2026, SalamAir operated 6,833 flights and welcomed 962,016 passengers across its network, with passenger numbers increasing by 51.6% and flight volumes rising by 19.4% compared with the previous quarter. The results also represent year-on-year growth of 5.1% in passengers and 9.1% in flights, compared with 915,223 passengers and 6,264 flights in Q3 2025, demonstrating SalamAir’s capacity to support increased travel demand during the peak summer period. On-Time Performance stood at 76%, with punctuality remaining a key operational priority as the airline continues to grow.

Commenting on the results, Eng. Yaqoob bin Saif bin Hamoud Al Kiyumi, Chief Executive Officer of SalamAir, said: “Our passengers’ time matters, and punctuality remains a clear priority. As we build on SalamAir’s achievements, we will work closely with our people and partners across the aviation ecosystem to strengthen operational reliability and deliver a more consistent travel experience, with safety at the forefront of our priorities.”

As SalamAir continues to strengthen Oman’s connectivity, the airline remains focused on combining accessible fares with dependable service, supporting tourism and economic development in line with the National Aviation Strategy 2040 and Oman Vision 2040.
