Dubai, UAE, 3 November 2026: The Mohammed Bin Rashid Library will host the third Dubai International Library and Publishing Summit on 16 and 17 November 2026 under the theme "The Architecture of Trust: AI and the Future of Knowledge Institutions." The event will bring together international leaders and experts from libraries, publishing, academia, museums, cultural organisations and technology to examine how artificial intelligence is reshaping the creation, credibility and preservation of knowledge.
Dr Mohammed Salem AlMazrooei, Board Member at Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Library Foundation, said: "Artificial intelligence is transforming every part of the knowledge ecosystem, from research, publishing and translation to the way information is accessed, verified and preserved. This year's summit will focus on a defining question: how can we safeguard the authenticity and credibility of knowledge when machines can generate and reshape content?"
Four Key Pillars
This year's programme is built around four pillars that reflect the transformation of the knowledge ecosystem in the age of AI.
Making Knowledge explores creativity, authorship, and intellectual output, alongside research, publishing, translation, and intellectual ownership.
Trusting Knowledge examines authority, authenticity, and evidence, as well as ways to verify the credibility of content and its sources.
Whose Knowledge? addresses language, representation, access to knowledge, and the diversity of cultures and knowledge systems within emerging knowledge infrastructures.
Keeping Knowledge focuses on memory, preservation, and stewardship, highlighting the role of libraries, archives, and other knowledge institutions in protecting cultural and intellectual heritage, preserving digital content, and ensuring its continuity.
