Perrelet celebrates the beauty of the sea and the desire for discovery with two timepieces featuring high technical performance and unique design: Turbine Yacht and Turbine Diver.
Perrelet presents the Turbine Yacht collection, a new watch line that will prove an excellent seagoing companion, combining Perrelet’s famous Turbine with a function stemming from the maritime world: the windrose. The Turbine Yacht, an evolved version of the Turbine Diver model, combines within a single watch the aesthetic and ornamental design codes of the most prestigious ships.
The 47 mm-diameter steel case of the Turbine Yacht, water-resistant to 300 meters, comes in several colors thanks to a black or bronze-toned PVD coating. The dial is enlivened by a titanium turbine featuring 11 blades reminiscent of a submarine propeller, rotating above a resolutely marine-themed décor of parallel lines evoking the teakwood decking of a yacht. The under-dial is further enhanced by a central metal applique. The Turbine Yacht will thus offer the possibility of keeping to the set course and following a given direction thanks to the integrated windrose function. Simply taking a few points of reference and orientation from the position of the sun will be enough to deduce the various cardinal directions.
With Perrelet, the sea may be explored by skimming across the surface, as well as in depth with models from the Turbine Diver collection providing an opportunity to adorn the wrist with a timepiece featuring various diving-inspired functions and technical characteristics.
The Turbine Diver collection comprises four models with a 47 mm-diameter steel case, water-resistant to 30 atmospheres, some of them bearing a black PVD coating. The inner rotating bezel ring serves to take easy immersion-time measurements and provides a highly legible display on a 20-minute segment by means of a play on colors and volumes. This function is controlled via a screw-locked crown at 10 o’clock that prevents inadvertent handling while diving. On the Diver line, the 11-blade titanium turbine spins freely over an under-dial coated with Superluminova, which glows and diffuses a vivid color in the underwater darkness. Superluminova also covers the Arabic numerals, the main hour-markers as well as the subtly black-rimmed hours and minutes hands.
The Turbine Yacht and Turbine Diver collections are driven by the exclusive P-331 caliber, entirely produced in the Perrelet workshops. This movement oscillates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and has a 42-hour power reserve.
