Dubai, 06 February 2018:  VIP delegates to the World Government Summit (WGS), held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, will travel in a fleet of 80 premium luxury Land Rover and Range Rover vehicles provided by Al Tayer Motors - the official Land Rover importer-dealer in the United Arab Emirates. The UAE dealership is the exclusive automotive partner of the event, for the fifth consecutive year.

WGS 2018, to be held from February 11 – 13, is a global platform dedicated to shaping the future of government worldwide. Each year, the Summit sets the agenda for the next generation of governments with a focus on how they can harness innovation and technology to solve universal challenges facing humanity. The Summit offers an opportunity for governments and organizations to highlight cutting-edge innovations, the latest trends in best practice, and groundbreaking smart solutions that provoke discussion and inspire creativity.

“WGS is a key global initiative by the UAE and is attended by world leaders in government and the private sector. Making a worldwide impact, the event brings together some of the leading international minds to discuss topics that have a bearing on the future of governments, and the ways and means of engaging citizens. As one of the UAE’s leading automotive dealerships, which represents some iconic and futuristic global automotive brands, we are proud to be associated with WGS, which is a remarkable example of public and private sector partnership,” said Dr. Tariq Humaid Al Tayer, Director, Al Tayer Motors.

Key themes of sixth annual summit include Artificial Intelligence, The Future of Governance, Mars & Space Exploration, The Future of Finance, Climate Change & Habitation, Innovation in Education, Happiness & Well Being, Innovation in Healthcare, Youth, and Disruptive Solutions

Commenting on the partnership, Bruce Robertson, Managing Director for Jaguar Land Rover MENA, said: “We at Jaguar Land Rover put great trust in all our authorised retailers as they play a crucial role in the success of our business. Al Tayer Motors continues to excel as our strategic partner in the UAE, and being the exclusive automotive partner of the World Government Summit for the fifth year in a row is testament to their efforts and dominance of the market. It’s fitting that delegates at one of the biggest governmental events in the world should also travel in world-class vehicles”.

This year the summit is expected to attract over 4000 participants, including VIPs, leaders from the government sector and international experts. More than 190 senior speakers are expected to  participate in the main interactive sessions bringing together many business leaders, decision makers, ministers, chief executives, thought leaders, government officials, and experts who will be presenting their opinions and thoughts about future governments as well as themes most relevant to people’s happiness and wellbeing.
