Abu Dhabi, 01 November 2017: Premier Motors, the official dealer for Jaguar, Land Rover, Ford, Lincoln, Maserati, Ferrari and Ford Trucks in Abu Dhabi, is supporting the 2nd World Police Games organised by the International Police Sports Union (USIP) as its exclusive automotive partner.
The 2017 event will be held under the auspices of Lt. General H. H Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, from 3 – 10 November in Abu Dhabi. The UAE, which is one of the founding member countries of USIP, is the first Arab country to host the event.
Premier Motors will be supporting the event with a fleet of some of the latest Jaguar Land Rover vehicles including the flagship Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, the versatile Land Rover Discovery and the Jaguar XF and XJ.
Speaking about the sponsorship, Helal Hanei Omar, Vice-President, Premier Motors said: “It is an honour for Premier Motors to be associated with the International Police Games event being held in the Middle East for the first time. We are pleased to support the Abu Dhabi government’s constant efforts in positioning the UAE capital as the Middle East’s preferred destination for such international sporting events.”
Premier Motors has a history of supporting sporting events in the UAE including horse racing, horse and camel endurance races, traditional sports, tennis, golf and polo, to name just a few. Some of the recent events it has supported include the Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Championships as well as all the Polo tournaments held by the Ghantoot Racing and Polo Club in 2016-17. The dealership has also been one of the sponsors of the Al Jazira Football Club for the past six years.
A total of 31 countries took part in the first edition of the International Police Games, which took place in Colombia in 2015.
