Audi quattro Cup 2014 kicks off in Dubai with Al Nabooda Automobiles

6 March, 2014 – Amateur golf’s most renowned international tournament, the Audi quattro Cup has returned to the fairways of the UAE as more than 100 invited players took part in the first local round.

Hosted by Al Nabooda Automobiles, the official dealer for Audi in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, the local tournament was hotly contested at the Els Club course and saw Craig Miller and Steve Pettigrew take home first place, followed by Anand Lakhiani and Tej Chhabra as runners up.

“The Audi quattro Cup is a fantastic opportunity for Audi enthusiasts to come together and enjoy a sport which highlights precision and technique, just like an Audi.

“Well-engineered putts, chips and drives were on show throughout the day, making it an exciting, competitive day for our team, customers and guests,” said Ali Al Nabooda, General Manager Audi, Al Nabooda Automobiles.

“We wish the winners good luck for the 2014 Audi quattro Cup World Final, which will be held in Dubai from December 7th – 11th at the Jumeirah Golf Estates“

The Audi quattro Cup Golf Tournament Series was established in 1991. In 2013 Audi dealers from 52 different countries worldwide organized a total of 965 tournaments and over 100,000 amateur golfers participated.  More than 1.4 million golfers have taken part in an Audi quattro Cup tournament during the last 23 years.
