BEAMMobile commerce platform set to alter regional retail sector forever

Retailers keen to adopt a state-of-the-art mobile marketing and payment platform without fuss are turning to Beam – a smart new mobile phone application that allows customers to buy using their mobile phone.

As a retailer, all you need is a mobile device. The Beam terminal application for retailers is a free software download from your app store. Retailers need only have the application installed on their mobile device for the Beam system to run.

It's fast, it's convenient, it's secure and it uses existing technology.

Co-founder of Dubai-based Beam, Nadim Khoury, says: “Beam offers enormous value to retailers. It is simple, easy to set-up, doesn't involve complex technology, equipment, relationships with banks or payment terminals. We offer set up in minutes, and the familiarity of using your existing mobile device.”

Beam bridges the divide between the digital world and the bricks and mortar retail environment. Retailers can push timely offers and promotions straight into the hands of customers, saving them time and money, while enabling them to connect with their customers on a real time basis. Customizable loyalty programs are ready to launch for retailers who might not have the budgets to develop their own standalone schemes. With social media fully integrated into the App, customers are able to advocate retailer's brands and offers to an even wider audience.

Data analytics are at your fingertips too. Businesses can monitor, measure and modify published offers allowing them to gain valuable insights into consumer behaviour. The Beam Business Portal allows merchants to create their own offers, discounts, vouchers and loyalty programs.

“With Beam, we are putting all the power in the hands of the retailers. It's up to you what level of interaction you have with your customers. We have provided the tools – developed here in the Middle East, for the Middle East – to create a first class mobile commerce platform, and a powerful CRM and loyalty tool,” says Khoury.

“Savvy smaller businesses have already seen the advantages of offering customers the convenience of buying using their mobile phones,” he adds.

“Everyone wants to be on-line. Retailers offering customers the Beam payment and reward experience are a step ahead of the competition. Thanks to Beam, suddenly smaller retailers are on a level playing field with the bigger players, being able to interact directly with customers via their mobile devices,' said Khoury.

Because it resides on the mobile device, Beam will work over any platform, with any retailer. Beam will work with any 3G phone running Android, Blackberry or iOS operating systems.

“The investment on the retailer's part might be a new mobile device, but you can buy them extremely cheaply these days, especially compared to other payment system technology,” says the Beam co-founder.

In terms of security, Beam is 100 per cent PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliant. Consumers must enter a valid PIN to generate a Beam payment code, and once generated, each unique code is only valid for two minutes. The Beam payment processor has multiple layers of fraud detection systems.
