VaVaVoom Encourages Environmental Awareness With Innovative Recycling Campaign

United Arab Emirates, July 23, 2013: ‘Look Good & Feel Great,' - that's the message behind VaVaVoom's innovative cosmetics packaging recycling campaign, which will be launched this July.    Encouraging every stylish customer to do their part for the environment, the campaign creates a way for customers to recycle their used fragrance bottles, lipsticks and mascaras.

In store collections points will allow customers to bring their used packaging to participating stores in Jordan allowing VaVaVoom to contribute products into three major recycling categories: glass, metal and plastic.  The brand will also reward people for their efforts with a ‘10% off' voucher, redeemable in September.

During the campaign, different in-store and online marketing messages will explain how recycling old packaging can help reduce the amount of energy that is being consumed.  For example, recycling one perfume bottle can save the energy needed to light a school class for 10 hours, one lipstick represents a saving of up to 100 watts of power, whilst energy saved from recycled mascara would be enough to play music for an hour. 
“Every VaVaVoom customer wants to look good and that's why she enjoys the wide range of international health and beauty brands that we bring together in one exciting store.  Now we want them to feel great too, by showing the positive effects that recycling can have on our daily lives in UAE.  Our ‘Look Good & Feel Great' campaign lets people easily participate in a recycling initiative that contributes to a better environment,” explains Daniel Ritchie, Vice President for the VaVaVoom brand.

Participating VaVaVoom store in UAE will start collecting any old or used fragrance bottles, lipsticks and mascaras from July 8th through to August 31st at the Mirdif City Centre.  And to show their appreciation VaVaVoom will reward customers who bring in their old cosmetics with a 10% off voucher to be redeemed in-store anytime in September, 2013.

We're extremely thrilled to launch this campaign and are even more excited to see the results such a green programme will have in our community,” concludes Ritchie.
