Dubai, 21 July 2013: The Iraqi Oil Minister recently announced the discoveries at the Dima oilfield, which amongst others, have increased the estimate of Iraqi oil reserves by 5% to 150 billion barrels. In light of such discoveries, the importance of developing and identifying solutions to oilfield infrastructural challenges in Iraq are all the more apparent.
From 1 October 2013, Iraqi Government officials, international oil companies including Shell and Total and service majors such as Schlumberger, CH2MHill and Weatherford will convene at the Iraq Mega Projects Conference in Dubai to identify project and infrastructure investment opportunities to support oilfield production in Iraq.
