During the holy month of Ramadan, the spectacular MusicHall will be transformed into an innovative Majlis style setting to celebrate the spirit, the festivities and the traditions of the sacred month.
Masrah Ramadan as known in the past couple of centuries used to be the one place in the city where all citizens used to gather to listen to traditional songs viewing the artistic performances as a way to enrich their evenings during the holy month of Ramadan. Masrah Ramadan is pioneered by Michel Elefteriades and offers a journey though time in tribute to the golden era of the Arab world.
Masrah Ramadan will be hosting Ramadan evenings for Suhoor, which will include a line-up of live performances by talented and renowned artists coming from different parts of the Arab world to present the different refined musical genres in harmony with the spirit of the holy month.
Geographically and historically diverse styles of Oriental music, in tribute to their respective ethnicities and golden ages, will entertain the audience throughout the night. The walls of Masrah Ramadan, will be adorned with black and white pictures and vintage videos of the capitals of the Arab world taking guests on an unexpected journey through the rich cultures of the region.
Traditional Arabic Mezze and main courses will be served on the a la Carte menu along with tea, coffee, shisha and other traditional Ramadan delicacies.
Masrah Ramadan is located at Jumeirah Zabeel Saray, next to the main entrance of the palatial hotel. The venue will be open during Ramadan from Saturday to Sunday for Suhour from 9.00pm until 2.00am.

History of the Masrah Concept
The month of Ramadan has always been associated with religious arts and entertainment in the Arab world, which would include religious recitations, and chanting. Encouraged by the French during the French conquest in Egypt in the 1800, this practice eventually evolved into what will be known in all the big capitals of the Arab world as Masrah Ramadan.
About Michel Elefteriades
Michel Elefteriades is a Greek-Lebanese politician, artist, producer and businessman from Beirut, Lebanon. He is notorious around the Arab world for his eclectic style and innovative creations. Author and composer for European and Arab artists such as Tony Hanna, Demis Roussos, Jean Jacques Lafon, Nahawanad, Hanine y Son Cubano, Mohammad Mounir, El Chato, Galvez, Jose Fernandez, as well as a collective work including Saber el Ruba'i, Moen Shraif, Wadih El Safi, Mohamad el Mazem, Michel is considered to be a pioneer of World Music fusion. Elefteriades is also the founder and owner of “Elef.Records”, a former Warner Music label and the founder and co-owner, with his brother Jean, of the MusicHall venues.
