Ambulatory Healthcare Services to Start Receiving Patients at Madinat Mohamed bin Zayed Healthcare Center
 

Abu Dhabi-UAE: 12 June, 2013 – Ambulatory Healthcare Services (AHS), a part of the Abu Dhabi Health Services Company (SEHA), will start seeing patients at Madinat Mohamed Bin Zayed Healthcare Center on Sunday, 16 June as part of the completion of phase 1.

Operating from Sunday to Thursday from 9:00am - 9:00pm, the Madinat Mohamed bin Zayed Healthcare Center will offer holistic patient care services including consultation and referral, vaccination, screening, chronic disease management, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, clinical breast examination, ‘weqaya' screening, patient and family health education, general and family medicine, as well as travel and mother and child care, and general dentistry.  The center is licensed by the Health Authority - Abu Dhabi to provide these specialized services in the emirate.

Mohamed Hawas, acting CEO, AHS, said: “At AHS, we are keen to make quality medical services easily accessible to everyone for enhancing the standard of living and the well-being of the community in Abu Dhabi. Towards this end, we continuously seek to upgrade our facilities in line with international standards, hire the best talent and roll-out clinics offering comprehensive services in areas that lack medical facilities.

“The opening of the Madinat Mohamed bin Zayed Healthcare Center is yet another milestone in this direction. The facility is the largest in our network and features the latest technologies in the healthcare sector, the clinic will be manned by a team of qualified doctors, nurses, pharmacists and technicians.”

The second phase of Madinat Mohamed bin Zayed Healthcare Center, which is anticipated to be ready by August 2013, will offer dermatology services, while the third phase, upon completion at the end of the year, will add pediatrics, antenatal and ultrasound services. The fourth and the final phase of the healthcare center will become available in 2014 to include ophthalmology, cardiology and ENT services to enable the delivery of holistic treatment.
