Accor reveals ambitious plans to launch 10 Adagio Aparthotels across the region within three years with the first hotel to open in the United Arab Emirates' capital, Abu Dhabi.
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, May 11 – Accor Middle East, one of the leading hospitality groups in the region, have revealed that their first Adagio Aparthotel Hotel in the Middle East will open its doors in October 2013. The Adagio Abu Dhabi Al Bustan (279 apartments), located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, is one of three hotels set to open in the region within the next 18 months.
Designed to be a new network of urban residences, the Aparthotels Adagio brand offers upper-midscale apartments with hotels services for “just like at home” stays in major destinations. The hotel's key market segments are individual corporate clients seeking extended stays. However, Aparthotels Adagio are popular among families and leisure travellers too, due to the facilities they offer in prime city centre locations with a close proximity to shops & malls, restaurants and transportation infrastructures.
The brand Aparthotels Adagio is a leading European brand in the urban residence market for medium and long-term stays with over 10,000 apartments in key cities such as Paris, Berlin, Munich, Rome, Monaco, Vienna, and Geneva to name a few. “The Aparthotels Adagio brand is already well-known among Middle Eastern travellers, particularly from the GCC region, who visit Paris and other cities across Europe. As a European leader in the urban residence market, we are now enthusiastic to expand outside of Europe to the Middle East, which is just one of the prominent strategic regions for brand growth,” said Martine Balouka-Vallette, Aparthotels Adagio Chief Executive Officer.
The Adagio concept is designed to offer a guest both a flexible and dynamic pricing policy designed for various length of stays (short, mid-, long-stay), and for the investor increased profitability through optimization of construction costs as well as a proven sound business model.

Accor Middle East intend to develop 10 Adagio properties spanning key cities across the region within the next three years, of which five properties will be under construction or fully operational by the end of this year, with advanced discussions under way for new Adagio properties in key locations such as Riyadh, Jeddah, Doha, Makkah, Dammam, Al Khobar, etc.
In addition to properties in Abu Dhabi and Dubai, Accor's ambitious expansion plan also entails upcoming properties namely, the Adagio Fujairah Town Centre (with 72 apartments) in 2014 and Adagio Jeddah Mali Road (with 77 apartments) in 2015. Adagio joins Accor Middle East's regional network of 59 hotels (13,700 rooms) whose growth encompasses another 20 hotels committed for development in five countries.
