Canon imageRUNNER ADVANCE 500i
Dubai, UAE, 04 June, 2013: Canon Middle East, world-leader in imaging solutions, is supporting its partners with the extension of its successful imageRUNNER ADVANCE range following the launch of two new compact black-and-white multifunctional devices (MFDs). Partners can now meet the document handling challenges of all office environments with Canon's imageRUNNER ADVANCE range, creating new revenue opportunities in the desktop capture and output market.
Hendrik Verbrugghe, Marketing Director, Canon Middle East says, “Our partners need to meet the increasing demand for compact imaging solutions that help busy workgroups to work more efficiently as well as addressing concerns around security, management efficiency and cost control.
The new imageRUNNER ADVANCE 400i and 500i A4 devices combine award-winning imageRUNNER ADVANCE output and capture capabilities in a compact design to provide users with smarter ways of working. End-users can print from any Google Cloud Print enabled web-connected device, or scan to and print from iPad, iPhone and Android mobile devices; while the uniFLOW platform offers configurable document workflows to larger organisations or more demanding environments. uniFLOW also provides a secure platform for users to print from any device to any networked MFD.
Thanks to the imageRUNNER ADVANCE MEAP and MEAP Web application platforms, partners have the opportunity to develop customised applications for the new devices to automate and optimise end-to-end output management and capture document workflows of businesses of all sizes. In addition, as with the rest of the imageRUNNER-ADVANCE range, partners can easily integrate the new compact models into existing printing infrastructures thanks to industry standards such as genuine Adobe PostScript, while also delivering service remotely, removing back-office burdens from customers.
Partners also benefit from the new devices' scalable security capabilities, with which they are able to address the concerns of any organisation; from standard features such as smart user authentication and function-level control to sophisticated options such as Data Loss Prevention (DLP). End-users will also retain full visibility of usage and costs by user as well as the option to apply user-level restrictions for enhanced security.
Hendrik Verbrugghe continues: “Canon's new imageRUNNER-ADVANCE 400i and 500i devices provide our partners with a strong offering to satisfy the growing market demand for high-quality A4 imaging solutions. As part of a Managed Print Service or balanced deployment approach, or even as a standalone solution for a smaller business, the new advanced desktop devices support the strength of our partners' imaging propositions.
“Extending Canon's award-winning portfolio, the two new models strengthen our partners' ability to provide a complete and tailored document solution – based on a compelling blend of hardware, software and services – to organisations of all sizes.”
