The year 2013 is no ordinary year: Monte-Carlo's most glamorous Grand Prix after-party Amber Lounge celebrated its 10-Year Anniversary. Now a well-recognised international brand during the Grand Prix weekends around the globe as the playground of the rich and famous.
Kicking off Monaco Grand Prix weekend was the Amber Lounge Fashion Show supported by the Tourism Authority of Thailand on Friday night. With seven Formula One drivers on the catwalk, the charity event raised funds for the Nelson Mandela Children's Fund. Following post-show G.H Mumm champagne bar reception, celebrities and VIP guests moved into Amber Lounge to enjoy Eva Simon's live performance of the #1 hit ‘This is Love' (feat will.i.am).
Saturday night saw some of the world's stars show up. Famous names included American rapper Eve, Xzibit, David Hasselhoff, Harvey Weinstein, Julian Lennon, Kellan Lutz, the former world's fastest man – Michael Johnson, freestyle skier Jon Olsson and skateboarding legend Tony Hawk. The guests came to celebrate the finish line for the 15th Annual Gumball 3000 race, and what a better way to celebrate than by having John Martin of the Swedish House Mafia perform live.
Epitomising the legendary glamour of Monte-Carlo and energy of the Grand Prix, Amber Lounge's Sunday closing party is where the Formula One fraternity come for post-race celebrations. The most anticipated night of the weekend brought an exclusive performance by the incredible rapper Big Ali singing his smash hits whilst the resident DJ Mickey kept the dance floor rocking.
Nico Rosberg, Monaco Grand Prix 2013 title winner, said: “Amber Lounge rocks! Best parties of the year for me and my friends. We always have a blast!”
Sir Philip Green and Lady Tina Green, Eddie Irvine, Rachel Hunter, Amanda Holden, David Coulthard and Bob Sinclar were among the celebrity guests who partied over the epic three-night weekend.
