Pupils from the Al Amal School for the Deaf were recently given a tour of the facilities of the Corp Executive Hotel Amman to show behind-the-scenes operations and demonstrate the potential of a career in the hospitality industry.
Mr. Emad Jawad Hussain, General Manager, Corp Executive Hotel Amman said, “Corporate Social Responsibility lies at the heart of our business practices. We believe we have a responsibility towards our community and therefore care for the people and environment around us. We were therefore truly delighted to welcome the young students from Al Amal School who showed a keen interest in our activities. The pupils were surprised to see the ‘back of house' operations with some even trying to identify roles where they could contribute after leaving school.
“A hotel offers many varying options for jobs ranging from front office and reception to banqueting, housekeeping, IT, restaurant services and even spa management – opening up different possibilities for children with special needs. It is a field that is wide open to all and we hope that some of these youngsters will be part of our team one day”.
Designed to be one of the city's prestigious addresses, Corp Executive Hotel Amman boasts three multi-functional meeting rooms and a spectacular ballroom equipped with the latest technology and facilities. Diners too have an excellent choice of restaurants with the hotel's culinary team offering an extensive selection of regional and international flavours. One may opt for all-day-dining restaurant ‘The Boulevard' or the roof-top Lebanese restaurant ‘Mood'. ‘Snug' lobby lounge is ideal for tasty nibbles and refreshing cold and hot drinks. For relaxation, the hotel offers a trendy fitness center ‘Orange' where you can enjoy an invigorating workout followed by a pampering soak in the temperature controlled outdoor swimming pool or indulge in tranquil spa treatments.
