Region's Online Shopping Mall Gears-up for Success
Dubai-UAE: 22 May, 2013 – eHosting DataFort (eHDF), the region's leading managed IT services provider and a member of TECOM Investments, has been appointed by Tejuri.com to host and manage the region's e-shopping mall supported by the Dubai Department of Economic Development (DED).
The online mall launched in March features more than 45 retailers representing over 150 brands. Operating a self-developed e-commerce platform, Tejuri.com offers retailers with the facility to showcase their products on the website for e-commerce. Tejuri.com retailers can manage the online presence of their brand, receive payment from customers, and process purchases online via the self-developed application without investing in hardware, software or infrastructure.
eHDF is delivering a comprehensive managed hosting solution for Tejuri.com by estimating the size of the required IT infrastructure, and offering infrastructure as a service (IaaS) for hosting the customized application within eHDF's private cloud. eHDF engaged with Microsoft and Tejuri's application development team to prepare the platform in line with the application requirements, which included dynamic scalability, 24x7 availability, enhanced security and continuous monitoring of the application, servers and network devices.
This partnership follows eHDF's successful track record with the parent company Tejari FZE.
eHDF's current service provision to Tejuri.com covers the complete monitoring and management of the IT infrastructure including servers, network devices, operating system and databases. On demand storage and flexible backup policy along with burstable internet bandwidth means that the solution can easily scale as the business grows.

Following the release of a Nielsen study commissioned by Tejuri.com, findings revealed that consumers in the GCC spent approximately US$3.2 billion on online shopping during 2012, of which over US$2 billion was channelled through international websites.
