Hair care expected to be strong growth segment at Beautyworld Middle East 2013
Hair care is expected to be among the strong growth segments in the flourishing regional beauty industry, according to organiser of Beautyworld Middle East 2013, Epoc Messe Frankfurt.
Research by leading analysts and Beautyworld Middle East Knowledge Partner, Euromonitor International, estimates that the hair care market in the UAE was worth approximately AED 507.9 million in 2012 and this is expected to increase by 27% to AED 644 million by 2017.
Beautyworld Middle East, the leading international trade fair for beauty products, hair, fragrance and wellbeing in the region, which takes place next week from Tuesday 28th May to Thursday 30th May in Dubai, will reflect this growth with a large number of international hair care brands showcasing their latest product lines aimed at the region.
Men are at the forefront of driving much of this growth with hair loss treatments having been the fastest growing sector at 11% in 2011.
Euromonitor International estimates that the hair care market in the two leading markets in the GCC - KSA and UAE - is expected to reach AED 3.2 billion or SAR 3.3 billion by 2017, keeping the GCC high on the priority lists of international hair care majors.
