Thousand boxed Lacoste perfumes were arranged in a representation of the UAE flag, measuring a record-breaking 4.5m x 5.5m
Dubai, UAE, 16 May, 2013: Lacoste is pleased to announce that as of May 15, it is the official holder of the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the Largest Cardboard Mosaic, made out of boxed Lacoste perfumes. The successful record-breaking attempt took place at the EAU DE LACOSTE L.12.12 NOIR mega podium located at The Dubai Mall's Star Atrium. The event was held – in partnership with Bukhari & Chalhoub, Sephora & The Dubai Mall – to celebrate the launch of Lacoste's new male fragrance, EAU DE LACOSTE L.12.12 NOIR, which entered the Middle East domestic market ahead of the rest of the globe on April 15.
The colossal cardboard mosaic took a remarkable 180 hours to build, which was arranged in a representation of the UAE flag, measuring 4.5m x 5.5m.
EAU DE LACOSTE L.12.12 NOIR is the newest addition to the EAU DE LACOSTE L.12.12 male fragrance collection, in celebration of 80 years of Lacoste's constant innovation and re-invention. Its woody, aromatic fragrance is inspired by the intensity of warm summer evenings and the timeless elegance of the LACOSTE L.12.12 polo shirt – an iconic garment created by tennis legend René Lacoste back in 1933.
Elegant, stylish, classic and flattering, black is a colour that is timeless; like the L.12.12 polo shirt itself, it never goes out of fashion. EAU DE LACOSTE L.12.12 Noir embodies this timeless classic perfectly. With the addition of EAU DE LACOSTE L.12.12 Noir, the fragrance collection mirrors the L.12.12 polo shirt great colors.
“We, at Lacoste, are so proud to have broken a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title,” said Khaled Zaatarah, Lacoste Brand Manager, P&G Prestige MEA. “We organized this event to celebrate the launch of Lacoste's new male fragrance, EAU DE LACOSTE L.12.12 NOIR and view this groundbreaking achievement as a true testament to our commitment to consumers here in the Middle East. I would, of course, like to extend my sincere gratitude to everyone who participated in this revolutionary initiative. Together, we made history!”
