Nina Prinz and Abdulaziz Abdulla fastest in the free practices today at Losail

A total of 23 riders joined the fifth round of the Qatar International Road Racing Championship under the floodlights of Losail International Circuit.

In the Free practice of the fifth round of Qatar International Road Racing Championship, Nina Prinz was the fastest rider with a time of 2:04:370.  'At the end of the free practice that found a track a bit dirty, but in the end of the free practice it was ok and I made a good lap timing. I have to check the suspension of my Suzuki bike and try something but we will see. For me, from Germany, the temperature is really hard to ride,  but we will see, I am happy to be here again and happy for the race ' Prinz said at the end of free practice.

Alex Cudlin, riding also a Suzuki bike, made the second best lap timing, 2.05.548. At the end of the free practice session, the Australian rider, leader of the championship, was not very happy with his result and the bike. ' I had several problems with the bike,  electrical, braking and suspension problems, so they are important things that we must fix and the mechanics will try to find the solution to have it solved for the qualifying and obviously for the race'.

Mishal Al Naimi, with his Honda bike and his new sponsor, Oreedoo, made a time of 2.05.548. The Qatari rider thanks, Oreedoo, for his sponsorship in the last three rounds of the QIRRCH. 'In the free practice I started very good at the begining but after three laps I realized water coming from the bike so I stopped and saw that the temperature of the bike was higher. My mechanics tried to fix it but the problem was continuing when I was again in the track, so I hope that the problem will be solved for the qualifying and the race'.

Cudlin is leading the championship with 149 points and Al Naimi is second with 116 points. Nina Prinz is in third place with 96 points. The second race of the third round that was cancelled due to the rain on 23rd March will take place today at 22.10. Tomorrow Saturday, the races for the fifth round will be at 18.30 and 21:10.

Regarding the cars, Abdulaziz Abdulla was the fastest driver in the free practice of the third round of the Qatar National Road Racing Championship. The Qatari driver driving a Porsche car in the Open class made a lap time of 2.24.802. ' I am very happy with the result in the free practice although I still have some problems with my suspension and hopefully it will be fixed and I can drop my timings in the Qualifying practice' Abdulla said at the end of the free session.

The Australian driver Talal Wehbe also in the Open class was second with a time of 2.25.580. Wehbe is leading the championship with 16 points.
The car race will be tomorrow Saturday at 22.20.
