Our partner, takemyjunkuae.com will collect the gadgets from the school and in case of heavy items from the residence and will recycle usable items and donate to the underprivileged. Items which cannot be repaired will be ethically disposed. Through ‘Pass it On' initiative we not only intend to raise awareness on the impact of e-waste on environment but also encourage students, parents and staff to give their unwanted items a new home and a smile to someone”
The ‘Pass it on' campaign was kick started in Greenfield Community School today with a forum for students, parents, visitors and teachers to tackle the e-waste problem in the UAE. Through the forum, the audience was encouraged to make a commitment to make use of unwanted products by giving them away or passing them on. During the one month long campaign at GCS, Eros group will organize various sessions for the parents to create awareness on the benefits of electronic ‘reduce, reuse and recycle'.
Thanking the GCS management for participating in the campaign, Mr. Gidwani further added “We are glad that this initiative has found acceptance amongst the society and schools like GCS are coming forward to be a part of this campaign.”

‘Pass it On' campaign was successfully run with Gems World School and Dubai British School in past two years, where students passed on their unwanted items to the labour camps at Al Quoz. This year the programme has been adopted by Greenfield Community and the company has plans to further extend it to other communities within the UAE.
