06 May 2013, Abu Dhabi, UAE Senaat, one of the largest industrial holding companies in the UAE, is supporting the Ataya Annual Exhibition 2013, a charity exhibition organised by the Red Crescent Authority, under the patronage of Her Highness Sheikha Shamsa bint Hamdan Al Nahyan, wife of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Western Region.
Taking place between 6-9 May at the Abu Dhabi Country Club in Al Mushrif, proceeds from this year's Ataya Exhibition will be used to raise awareness about Autism and prevent its spread among the new generations. The disorder has been affecting an increasing number of children in the UAE over the past few years, reaching 1.1% of newborns according to figures announced by the Emirates Autism Centre in 2012.

Exhibitors at the Ataya fair sell fashion and jewellery collections as well as household accessories designed by Arab and international craftsmen and designers. This year, the exhibition aims to allocate the proceeds of exhibition stands as well as entry ticket sales and donations contributed by attendees, to support a comprehensive program to enhance the services of Autism centres and increase the capacity of professionals in the same area. Last year, Ataya exhibition supported a Children's Cancer Centre in Lebanon with a total donation of AED7 million.
