In a run up to the 20 years celebrations, high-street fashion retailer Splash officially announced the 1st winner, Mr. Nisar Valiyavalappil, of their much talked about ‘BMW promotion'. The ceremony was held on April 16th at the Splash store, Mall of the Emirates amidst much cheering from the large crowds that gathered. The winner was announced by Mr. Fathallah Abdulla, head of raffle draw from the Department of Economic Development, Dubai along with the Splash officials.

Hailing from the Malapuram district of Kerala, India, 28 year old Mr. Nisar arrived in Dubai 2 years ago and has since been working with an AC spare parts company as a sales person in Ajman. On hearing the Splash BMW promotion, he decided to pay a visit to the store, with his best friend and shop to enter the draw; “I visit Splash frequently as I love their t-shirts and I decided to split the final bill with my friend. Since I won the car it has been a life-changing experience. I do not have a driving license and so decided to sell the car. The money I get will be split between my best friend and me, as I feel it is necessary to stay true to my friendship. I haven't yet decided what to do with my share of the money but I know that this winning will help me go a long way in my life.” said Mr. Nisar.

Splash kicked off its 20 years celebrations on March 21st, partnering with BMW to offer an eye catching GCC, Jordan & Egypt wide promotion which comes loaded with 20, 520i Executive 2013 model BMWs over a 45 day period, at a minimum spend of AED 150 (or equivalent). Alongside the BMW partnership, each week lucky shoppers are also winning gifts like Apple Laptops, 32' LED TVs, iPads, iPhone 5's and Samsung Note II, all in the denominations of 20.
