Mamas & Papas launches Summer 2013 collection

Mamas & Papas launches it new collection for Summer for both Maternity wear and for Baby wear.

The Terra Moderne range from Mamas & Papas for Maternity wear sees influences from Africa and the local craft people, with colours and textures that are earthy and natural. In a palette derived from arid landscapes, the collection is available in terracotta shades with ebony browns, faded khakis, brick reds and golden yellows. Shades of burnt sunset tones are cooled by blues and indigo. The collection gives a nod to the 70s with a slight bohemian aesthetic, influenced by modern Berber styles mixed with bold geometric prints and deco patterns. Eras from the 40s through to the 60s inspire the prints.

Another capsule within the Maternity wear is the Aquarelle collection that gives summer prints a new edge. Hyper-real florals are a key statement for the season and they are used on the modern shift dress and also in colour-blocked pieces, mixing jersey and woven textures for great day-to-evening pieces. Billowing high-low hems for peak summer are injected with colour for an easy to wear colour pop.

For Baby wear, Mamas & Papas launches its new range Desert Fringe' for girls that has a fresh colour palette based around an American cowgirl feel, with chambray denims, gingham checks and ditsy florals. Summer is welcomed by Mamas & Papas with the Coral Treasures' range; a heady mix of turquoise shades and hot pinks. Candy stripes, tropical florals and multi-coloured spots give a fun, vibrant feel to this high summer story. Girls Limited Edition' is all about colour with Colour Splash' with a fantastic mix of prints.

For the little boys, Mamas & Papas introduces The Enthusiastic Gardener' made up of a refreshing mix of smart and casual pieces. Linen fabrics, cotton check shirts and distressed denim mean there is a good selection of outfits for every occasion.

Brighton Days' is inspired by English summers, buckets and spades, candy floss and carefree afternoons. A playful palette of turquoise, orange and acid lime means that these pieces won't be missed in a crowd. Essential items such as cargo shorts, short sleeved shirts and the coloured chino are a great mix for any holiday wardrobe.

The boys Limited Edition' range for this phase has a nautical, lost island feel. Compasses, maps and anchors inspire the great mix of graphics and tropical prints. Stripes are key in this story, varying from wider scale to narrow and bold.  Denim is coloured or washed and knits are lightweight to layer on those chilly summer evenings.

Welcome to the World', the signature range, continues with its supersoft fabrics, attention to detail and level of high quality that is synonymous with the range. New quirky pieces have been added, such as the bunny knitted all-in-one. Statement knits are a strong trend this season, which see their place here to add newness into the range. As always, the outfit sets are a beautiful mix of traditional and sophisticated pieces. The introduction of ditsy floral prints for girls and subtle ticking stripes for boys gives a new feel to the collection.

Pink' and Blue' has had a facelift this season, with an injection of new colours to enhance the range. There are more fashionable pieces for boys and girls, such as the star print all-in-one for boys and the vintage-inspired florals for girls.
