Dubai, UAE, 27 April 2013: Kellogg's Corn Flakes is pleased to announce that as of April 26, 2013, it is the official holder of the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS titles for the Longest Breakfast Table at 301m long, the Largest Cereal Breakfast Attendance, with 1,354 people enjoying a bowl of Kellogg's Corn Flakes with milk simultaneously and the Largest Cereal Box Full of Corn Flakes, measuring 2.84m in length, 1.11m in depth and 4m in height.
At 301m, the Kellogg's Corn Flakes breakfast table is 50m longer than the previous record, which was set in 2012. The previous record for the Largest Cereal Breakfast Attendance, also set in 2012, had 986 participants.
The incredible new records were set on the Dubai Marina Mall Promenade, with people from across the UAE joining in to help Kellogg's Corn Flakes make history. Everyone taking part enjoyed a free bowl of Kellogg's Corn Flakes.
In addition, and as part of Kellogg's Corn Flakes' ‘How Will You Make Them Today' campaign, visitors were also able to sample the various recipes that can be used to create a delicious bowl of corn flakes. The ‘How Will You Make Them Today' initiative sheds light on the versatility of the Kellogg's Corn Flakes brand; a slew of booths – featuring renowned chefs – were therefore set up at the event, representing nations such as Lebanon, the Philippines, India, Russia and Egypt. The chefs at each stand demonstrated how to use highly diverse ingredients to make a bowl of Kellogg's Corn Flakes inspired by the country's cuisine.
At the record-breaking event, 500 packets of 750g Kellogg's Corn Flakes – the equivalent of over 8,000 breakfasts at 45g servings – were also donated to the Adopt a Camp charity.
