Global campaign, ‘Kids for a Greener World', educates on environment protection
Dubai, UAE; April 24, 2013: KidZania®, the award-winning children's ‘edutainment' destination in The Dubai Mall, is taking part for the second consecutive year in the global KidZania® initiative, ‘Kids for a Greener World.' Aimed at underlining the importance of environmental stewardship, the campaign will be held until June 8 and will unite the children of the world to make green practices a way of life.
Sponsored by Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, the campaign will raise children's awareness on the importance of environment protection. With green learning centres and hands-on environmental science projects, ‘Kids for a Greener World' is set to mobilise, inspire, and educate little ones on the impact of humanity's actions on the environment and how they can be active partners in protecting nature through ‘green' lifestyle practices.
Children can sign up for the ‘Kids for a Greener World' campaign by visiting the global website: http://greenerworld.kidzania.com, and pledging to care for energy, land, animals, water, and air. By taking part in the campaign at KidZania®, they can also learn about ways to reduce energy and water consumption and on how electricity is produced through interactive experiments.
Other engaging activities include green practices to generate energy, planting seeds, caring for animals and recycling. The young visitors can also participate in fashion shows, arts & crafts, jewellery making, and much more, all using recycled goods.

A ‘Greener World' art contest held at KidZania® will allow a child to win a complete makeover of their room, sponsored by Jotun. A second contest will be held in participating schools, with the most talented artist offered the opportunity to invite all his/her class mates for a fun day at KidZania®.
Located on level 2 of The Dubai Mall, KidZania® provides a safe, unique and very realistic educational environment that allows kids to do what comes naturally to them: role-playing by mimicking traditionally ‘adult' activities. It features offices, a university, fire station, race track, radio station, pizzeria, hospital, bank, theatre, among others, all scaled down to a smaller, child-friendly size. Children dress up in real-life uniforms and perform realistic professional tasks in a fun and meaningful way.
