Energy Efficiency Leader to Demonstrate Technology for making Cities Smarter
Dubai-UAE: 13 April 2013 – Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management, gets set to reaffirm its commitment to safe and sustainable energy efficiency through supporting the Water, Energy, Technology and Environment Exhibition (WETEX) 2013 as a gold sponsor and exhibiting its Smart Solutions portfolio at the event.
WETEX 2013 will be hosted under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai.
Held from 15-17 April at Dubai International Exhibition and Convention Centre, the event will see 30 participating countries showcase their latest technologies and equipment as well as raise corporate profiles and build awareness about products and services. The annual event will also serve as a forum for sharing ideas and best practices with the world's leading players in the water, energy, and environment technology industries.
Highlighting the benefits of its Smart Solutions, Schneider Electric will display state-of-the-art hardware, software and services that help deliver higher infrastructure efficiency and improved facilities in line with the immediate and long-term needs of urban areas.

Schneider Electric is well-positioned in the market as a pioneer in the delivery of utility – water solutions, ranging from Enterprise / IT to Telemetry and Process Automation. Through its EcoStruxure platform, Schneider Electric has deployed its solutions for water in reverse osmosis plants and waste water treatment plants in Abu Dhabi and Kuwait. It has also implemented pumping and networking solutions in Kuwait and Qatar.

Additionally, the Schneider Electric booth will also house a dedicated section for Energy University, the company's online portal offering free training courses and vocational programs for graduates. The interactive site currently hosts over 340,000 total users worldwide.
