Paris Gallery partners with Dubai Cares to give hope to children in developing countries

[Dubai, 10 December 2012] Paris Gallery and Dubai Cares have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) detailing the support that Paris Gallery has extended to the primary education programs being implemented by Dubai Cares and benefiting over 7 million children in 28 developing countries. The MoU was signed by Mohammed A. R. Al Fahim, CEO of Paris Gallery and Tariq Al Gurg, CEO of Dubai Cares.   As part of the agreement, Paris Gallery will offer customers opportunities to make donations to support Dubai Cares programs worldwide.

In a statement, Mr. Mohammed A. R. Al Fahim, the CEO of Paris Gallery, said, 'The vision and passion of Dubai Cares is highly commendable. We have seen its plans successfully materialize. Dubai Cares is the right channel for us to reach out to the poorest areas of the world, and we firmly believe that this support will help plant seeds of hope in the hearts of the many destitute children, making their lives easier. We are deeply honored and privileged to partner with Dubai Cares in this noble cause.'

Commending Paris Gallery's ongoing support and commitment to social responsibility, Tariq Al Gurg, CEO of Dubai Cares said, Beginning with the launch of Dubai Cares in 2007, we have continued to receive support from the UAE community, which has immensely contributed to the success of our primary education programs globally; currently benefiting 7 million children in 28 developing countries. Paris Gallery is a renowned and highly successful brand that resonates with the UAE community and we are confident that they will continue to support us, and help us reach many more children across the world. We hope Paris Gallery serves as an example for other organizations in the private sector to support children's primary education globally.

Dubai Cares is a UAE-based philanthropic organization that was founded in 2007 by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, with the aim of improving children's access to quality primary education in developing countries. It expresses the UAE's commitment towards the Millennium Development Goals of the United Nations, the 2nd and 3rd in particular, which is to guarantee universal primary education and to promote gender equality, respectively. Dubai Cares is also helping forge a global partnership for development, as indicated by UN MDG 8.

Since its launch in 2007, Dubai Cares has partnered with many international aid agencies, private foundations and NGOs. It is has been part of major projects in over 28 countries providing primary education to both boys and girls; countries that include Angola, Bangladesh, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Cambodia, Chad, Comoros, Djibouti, Ghana, Haiti, India, Indonesia, Laos, Mali, Lesotho, Mauritania, Nepal, Niger, Palestine, Pakistan, Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka, South Africa, South Sudan, Sudan, Yemen, and Zambia. In a very short span of time, Dubai Cares has made significant contributions to the lives of millions of children and their communities.
