Now Open: Union Coop's New Community Residential Mall

The Dubai-based retailer opened its 26th branch in a ‘Community Residential’ project 

Dubai, UAE:

Union Coop – the largest consumer cooperative in the UAE, has opened its new Community Residential Mall consisting of its 26th hypermarket branch, 28 commercial stores and 44 residential apartments in the Al Habiya area, covering an area of 493,977 sq. ft. With the opening of the new center, the number of Union Coop hypermarkets in Dubai has now reached 26.

The latest project was inaugurated by the Chairman of Union Coop – H.E. Majid Hamad Rahma Al Shamsi with Eng. Abdulla Mohammad Rafie Al Dallal, Managing Director, Union Coop in the presence of Division and Department Directors, Managers and employees of Union Coop, along with several officials and suppliers, in addition to shoppers and consumers of all categories of the society.

Union Coop also released an inaugural promotion with discounts of up to 75% on a large selection of food and non-food products to delight the consumers. This 4-day promotion started from March 9 until the 12 and will help reduce the burden on consumers who are looking for essential products of international quality at competitive prices.

Regarding the details of the new center, Arch. MADIYA AL MARI, Investment Division Director, confirmed that the latest project in Motor City consists of 2 basements + ground + first + service floor + 2 residential floors + roof floor containing a health club and multi-purpose hall, at a construction cost of about AED 100,000,000 on an area of 77,663 sq. ft. in Al Habiyah -1 area (Motor City) a premium location along the commercial street, with a total built-up area of 493,977 sq. ft.

Regarding the details of the new project she continued, there are 249 car parking spaces on the basement and ground floor and 28 shops on the ground and first floor covering an area of 24,391 sq. ft. The signature Union Coop hypermarket is on the first floor covering an area of 54,766 sq. ft. and the project includes 44 residential apartments, 22 on each floor. The apartments vary from 1 BHK, 2 BHK to 3 BHK flats with facilities like a swimming pool, gaming area .etc. on the terrace.

Shops have been rented to businesses such as restaurants, cafes, salons, pharmacies, perfume shops .etc. attending to the requirements of the region. Similarly, there are shops on the first floor near the showroom as well. The procedures for renting residential apartments that are distinguished by their size, design, and views of the main street, the swimming pool areas, and the children’s play area have been initiated.
