Dubai, United Arab Emirates, June 01, 2020: Salvatore Ferragamo interprets one of its most iconic emblems, the gros-grain Vara bow detail created by Fiamma Ferragamo and launched in 1979, in a new range of sunglasses and optical frames fusing timeless appeal and modern elegance.
Offered in intense and joyful nuances, the oversized sunglass shapes are characterized by geometric gradient lenses with an open metal bridge and thin temples that pierce the frame-front ending with two decorative micro studs.
The Vara bow embellishment enriches the temples in matte and polished finishes mixed with glowing touches of ivory enamels. The acetate temple tips in classic Havana or custom marble-like effect are tonally coordinated with the bow, while a further note of distinction is given by the classic Ferragamo logo engraved on both sides and on the central section of the bow.
The Vara concept also distinguishes the optical glasses with a round-front design in lightweight acetate and slim metal temples. As in the sunglass line, the adorning detail on the temples is smartened with matte and shiny finishes and paired with the double Ferragamo logo for an ultra-refined and instantly recognizable look.
The new Vara sunglasses (SF223S) are available in Gold/Violet, Gold/Brown, Gold/Green, Gold/Rose and Rose Gold/Grey.
The optical frames (SF2862) come in Black, Tokyo tortoise, Crystal Cherry and Crystal Aqua.
