United Arab Emirates -  March 28, 2021:  On the footsteps of the forefathers, the Hamdan Bin Mohammed Heritage Center (HHC) is preparing for the upcoming Camel Trek 2021. As customary, HHC has opened registration for nationals and UAE’s expats to train on camel backs until the next phase of shortlisting the new riders of the annual Camel Trek. This journey into the past, for nights and days crossing UAE’s desert, has gained worldwide popularity over the years, and certainly needs participants with strong “will and might to endure”.

To begin with, training is essential and will be held at the camel farm managed by experts in the field who will teach willing participants the basics of riding, feeding and taking care of camels without any aid. Nationals and expats in the UAE are encouraged to join this training program.

“Opening the door for registrants to join the training program, plays a pivotal role. It helps us to get to know the willing participants, test their endurance and aids us to better plan for the program’s schedule. Safety of others is a priority. Especially, during the pandemic and the necessity to apply all precautionary measures to limit the spread of Covid-19. As a result, we will customize the number of people in each training session by assigning smaller groups”, affirmed Hind Bin Demaithan Al Qemzi, HHC’s Events Director.

“Long years of experience has led us to prepare well in advance for this annual event, from the provision of enhanced services to trekkers, access and ease of training, to a smoother shortlisting process that precedes the actual Camel Trek. Additionally, the training program has availed an opportunity to members of the local community including UAE’s expats, to learn camel riding even if at certain circumstances, they were unable to join the actual trek”, concluded Bin Demaithan.
