
Kalyan Silks Contributes Rs. 1 Crore to the Chief Minister's Covid-19 Relief Fund
Dubai, United Arab Emirates, April 08, 2020: In its continued efforts to support the society in its relentless fight against Covid-19, Kalyan Silks has contributed Rs. 1 crore to the Chief Minister’s Covid-19 Relief Fund. Since the outbreak of the pandemic, Kalyan Silks has been in the forefront of extending a helping hand to the needy by distributing essential commodities through various social organizations across Kerala. With the contribution to the Chief Minister’s fund, Kalyan Silks has reiterated its commitment to strengthen the fight against the virus that is creating havoc across the world.
‘Fighting this pandemic is everyone’s responsibility. And as a responsible corporate citizen, we can’t be mute spectators to what is happening around us. We will continue to support the initiatives by the government and social organizations in the coming days,’ said Mr. T.S. Pattabhiraman, Chairman and Managing Director, Kalyan Silks.
This is not the first time Kalyan Silks is joining hands with the government and other organizations to help provide immediate relief to the people of Kerala. During the floods of 2018, Kalyan Silks contributed around Rs.4 crores to help rebuild the state. In addition to this, Kalyan Silks also launched a drive to rebuild houses of its affected employees. Even in these testing times, Kalyan Silks has taken care to pay the full salary for March to its 5000-strong employees.
