Dubai Courts highlights the Smart Payment for Case Fees Deposits and Fines during its participation at GITEX 2019

Dubai, United Arab Emirates: Dubai Courts is showcasing its ' Smart Payment for Case Fees Deposits and Fines ' during its participation at the 39th edition of GITEX Technology Week, the biggest tech show in the Middle East, North Africa and South Asia (MENASA), which runs until October 10, 2019 at the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC). The government entity’s involvement aligns with its ongoing commitment to promote the importance of harnessing the latest technological innovations and electronic and administrative systems to achieve the highest levels of customer satisfaction, with Dubai Courts thrusting the spotlight on the interactive features of the service that enable the construction of integrated smart payment interfaces through the website without the need to log in.

The innovative platform allows online payment of case fees, insurance and fines for all services that do not currently fall under the umbrella of the registration of past cases or smart applications; while also providing a bundle of smart services specifically developed to adopt advanced technology, facilitate litigation procedures, and enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the emirate’s judicial system in line with Dubai’s intelligent transformation into a global capital for the future.

H.E Tarish Eid Al Mansoori, General Manager, Dubai Courts, elaborated on the importance of the smart payment service for case fees, trusts and fines while pointing out that it is a real complement to Dubai Courts' efforts to provide reliable and integrated electronic and smart payment platforms without having to log in or visit the Courts’ Headquarters. H.E. added that the move falls in line with the national orientation towards achieving the objectives of the Dubai Paperless Strategy, consolidating the pillars of happiness and well-being, and providing the guarantor to meet the requirements of forward looking and making the future.

H.E. also explained that the service has been designed based on innovation, a mainstay for achieving the ambitious vision of creating a world-class legal system; and forms part of the plans to re-engineer the procedures of procurement, collection and litigation, in order to provide multiple channels of payment to allow the customer to receive an enhanced service and experience.

H.E. Al Mansoori added: “The Smart Payment for Case Fees Deposits and Fines’ represents our efforts to promote smart services, which are a cornerstone of future infrastructure aimed at improving the lifestyle and happiness of people and the well-being of society. This falls in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, who emphasized its pivotal role as being the most influential element in advancing the path of development and progress and identified the need to enhance readiness for the future by creating a smarter and easier life. We are moving forward to promote investment in qualified human resources in accordance with best practices so we can employ digital technology throughout the entire development process.”

The service has advanced features that immediately notify customers when issuing tickets for the delivery of fees, trusts and fines cases through e-mail and SMS; provides a direct link to the payment page; and allows the general user to enquire about the fees, trusts and fines without having to log on the courts’ website. The smart service is also an effective way to enable Dubai Courts' judicial assistants, secretaries and case managers to expedite litigation and execution procedures, based on a new mechanism to ensure that fees and fee teams are charged without having to ask the parties or the representative to come to the Court building to settle outstanding payments.

The services available through the “Smart Payment Service for Case Fees Deposits and Fines' include the payment of cases fees set by secretaries and case managers during the phases of litigation or execution; payment of ordinary cases and experience trusts determined by the judicial assistants in accordance with the decision of the judge; and payment of fines cases identified by judicial assistants based on the judge's decision.
