From the richness of damask flourishes, to the feel of the country, passing through a world of College and Military, the CALZEDONIA Fall/Winter 2013/2014 Women collection offers a wide variety of socks, hosiery and leggings, reinforcing the brand's commitment to meet the most diversified tastes. Presenting four collections in one all created in the newest trends, the Fall/Winter selection boasts a strong and determined character.
The Noblesse Oblige line reveals a rich and eye-catching mood, expressed through damask flourishes, old tapestry designs, velvet, gold dust and glitter. Forgetting austerity, it is deliberately reminiscent of an era of pomp and pageantry. Black reigns supreme adding oil and blood-red touches that move to burgundy on flocked fabrics with appliqués of sequins and stones. There is no dearth of unexpected details and prints reaffirming the inherent elegance of black.
With Raw and Chic, the look changes to dusty, neutral colors inspired by the world of country music. This is to celebrate the arrival of autumn in rough-looking and downright hot threads as well as rustic and slightly mottled cottons and moulinee. For a chic appeal, the pantyhose and stockings collection features refined combinations of color and fine yarns with an exclusive retro flavor. The warm and light stitching is slightly visible, recalling the homemade creations of our grandmothers. Fancy and extremely hot cashmere, angora and wool socks are also available within the collection.
Geometric patterns, rhombuses, classic or revised plaids; this is the British style that stands out in the New Old School Collection, featuring tights and leggings with a feminine twist. A striking pattern in this collection would be the polka-dot, in a whole new look, thanks to the unusual color combinations and the use of brand new materials and yarns. Micro or macro, the polka-dot is steadily reconfirmed by Calzedonia in tone-on-tone versions, in contrast to more sober options, but also engaging for the modern preppy girl outfit.
The grand return of camouflage accompanied by hound's tooth and chevron patterns, tweed, plaid prints and herringbone is highlighted in the Going Public Collection. The military look is renewed in a more contemporary and chic way. It's the detail that makes the difference as confirmed by the extremely trendy star studs. All with an eye to the tones that develop the camouflage starting from green through blue and into earthen shades.
So many offerings for every taste and mood…
Two points of reference for CALZEDONIA Menswear prevail in Fall/Winter 2013/2014: young and trendy on one side, classic and attentive to detail on the other; the common denominator being attention to the most modern style codes, using natural yarns as well as the ability to update styles in various fashions.
Young Men, a capsule collection dedicated to youth geared to the latest fashion trends, presents socks designed down to the smallest details to go with the “Pants rolled-up” look. The collection is trendy and glamorous, featuring bright colors, unusual patterns, small skulls lined up to blend into one another and even colored stripes on wide ribs, pixilated patterns in a techno key, Vichy and Norwegian classics in unusual tones.
The Main Collection, on the other hand, boasts more classical varieties to complete a man's wardrobe where classical colors remain in the foreground. The patterns reconfirm the traditional line and the rhombus which, however, reveals a twist of contemporary style using printed yarns with a strong identity.
The novelty of the season is the plaid: a real fashion trend of 2013/14 that sometimes abandons its classical look to be renewed in original and unexpected interpretations.
Absolutely original, the men's collection is characterized by raised patterns made in cashmere; an extremely attractive alternative for a classical look with a solid colour emblem promoted by the peekaboo detail.
