Samsung partners with iciflix to bring the best home entertainment for Smart TV consumers

icflix to provide the latest premium content from Hollywood, Bollywood and Jazwood to Samsung Smart TV users.

Over 6,000 titles will be made available to consumers on Smart TV 2013 models and on Samsung's range of Smart phones and Tablets.

Dubai, UAE – June 4th 2013 – Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., a global leader in digital media and digital convergence technologies, today announced its partnership with icflix, an online media streaming service, to introduce the latest premium content to Smart TV consumers in the Gulf.

As part of the agreement, consumers will have access to a selection of the latest movies, TV series, and documentaries from Hollywood, Bollywood and Jazwood* (Arabic content) as well as exclusive content. iciflix will be available for a low monthly fee, giving Smart TV users unlimited access to over 6000 titles of video content, much of which will be available in HD quality. Selected premium content will be offered on an 'on-demand' basis.

'Through our partnership with Samsung, icflix will offer people more entertainment options, using the most innovative devices.”

icflix will be available on all Samsung Smart TV 2013 models and will also be available to download on Samsung's complete range of smart phones and tablets through the Samsung App store starting mid July.

“This partnership also plays an important role in our commitment to deliver more local content, providing new and more integrated experiences for our consumers in the Gulf,” added Vinod.
Video on-demand apps are increasing in popularity in the region; recent research conducted by Samsung indicates that 88 percent of consumers' time is being dedicated to video streaming on Samsung's Smart TVs. As a result, Samsung has been committed to extending its video content and developing localized applications for consumers.
